New European Super League Breakaway Threat

Of course. But if our fans start boycotting and protesting this, it will do immense damage to the owners and the club.
Without fans football is nothing and without us it’s not city anymore - may swell move the club to London if it’s all about investment and profit.
We are now seeing fans paying to watch televised football games in front of empty stadiums with fake crowd-noise piped over them. This will embolden them to go for it in my opinion, as there are enough people around the world to make it a tidy (ongoing) profit-making exercise.

Rags & Scousers twice per season in that, twice in the PL, maybe again in the Champs Lg, FA Cup.

Could be like a quarter of a season v fucking scum & all the bullshit which goes with it.

Then 4 games v Chelsea, 4 games v Arse.

There will be no 'big' games anymore, just the same teams, over & over & over again.

it would also mean the club going against the majority of its match going core fan base. It would show the club put money, greed and finance above its own fans.

losing the fans would do more damage to the club then anything.

The club already make huge amounts of money now as it is.

You may be correct, and BM posters may not reflect the " majority of its match going core fan base " , but the financial consequences of not joining would imo and from the information currently available , mean that the club would/ will take part.

Whether this would result in the club losing fans and " doing more damage to the club than anything " I feel is is conjecture on your part, based upon your feelings towards the competition .

Whether the club is " already making huge amounts of money now as it is " does not mean that it would be willing to say " no thank you we don't want any more as as we already earn huge amounts of money" ..

Football is a business driven by money whether we as fans like the idea or not , and our owner is a businessman who invested in the club to make more money not friends.

Hi Noel

Liverpool and Rags. What a surprise!! Breaking news
That is all that shit a couple of weeks ago. Someone posted asking why they folded so quickly when it was they who sponsored the proposals. This is the reason. The bollocks before was never really what they were after, it was a shit stirring pre cursor move

Those fans wanting this be warned. It will all be pay per view for every game. Even if fans are allowed back one day post covid few will have the money to travel.all over Europe. They know this so will fleece fan's by putting every game on a box office where you pay a premium to watch.
I just cannot see the appeal. Even with the “if we don’t do it we’ll miss out” type posts. I’m genuinely not interested. I can’t see a scenario where I would be interested. I’m guessing there’s no relegation for this competition? Think about about the number of pointless games!
I would genuinely rather watch English league football. If City join that league I will find another team to follow. I’ve been a City fan my entire life (I’m 52). I’ve always said you can’t pick your club but that’s something I might have to do or walk away from football completely. Real Madrid vs AC Milan playing for 15th and 16th place isn’t my idea of fun. I would rather watch Yeovil Town v Crewe Alexandra and it means something. Not this new corporate shit competition.

Anyone think there’s anything in the recent B-Team talk resurfacing? Potential for a team in a European super league & one in the English leagues under the same banner, might appease the powers that be (FA PL ETC) not for me like but I can see the money men’s minds ticking
