New home kit?

This really is shocking after the beauty of the last two shirts, infact I think last seasons full kit was the best I've seen City in and I'm 36 years old. The simple blue shirt, white shorts and sky blue socks with the maroon tops = perfection. Can't believe we have dropped to this, that shit that looks like you have cut your neck shaving and put a plaster on is terrible. I've not got a City shirt for a few years now and was considering getting one, no chance now. And is this true about Blue shorts? Why? That's a Coventry kit not a Manchester City kit. Very, very disappointed.

How times change! We had several years of blue shorts in the late 70s/early 80s and I remember when the team ran out for the first home game of the 85/86 season (vs Leicester, in those days you didn't get a preview) with white shorts and I thought it looked horrendous!

For me, it would be nostalgic to go back to blue shorts.

Don't like them mate, reminds me of a Coventry kit. I know we played in Blue Shorts from 1977 - 85. And then again about four years ago for one season but I think it looks horrific.

You're right and I actually designed some myself in a Football Manager type style and posted them a while back.

I think with Umbro though they've said they want to make our kits modern rather than retro. While they have a retro element to them, like the collar in this case, they're also looking to set the standard with how kits will be made in the future.

There's no doubt looking at the video that this will be another high quality shirt. It looks like it's retained the cotton material, everything is embroidered rather than printed on and it's got the seams perfect again.

I like it (the one in the video)(the one that's "fake") partly because, if real, we are stuck with it and that thats it's just a nice kit apart from that soundsave bit on the front.

Nothing will be as good as the 09/10 kit so so calling everything else shit and be grateful we not getting some shitty template kit.

if this monstrousity is the real deal, its an absolute travesty. looks cheap/naff and like someone else said, very coventry cityesque. whoever was on work experience at the time and designed it needs shooting.

just hope these are 'accidental' leaks to fuck the piraters over.
