New home shirt (confirmed)

Something not right about this guy....

From the John Stones thread

And what's your problem?

He is a troll, and I'm convinced he's a rag.

Someone flagged it up not so long ago that there was a rag bragging on ragcafe that he's been a member on here for years.

I'd put money on that being Blue Mooner. I'm not the only one to make this observation, generally speaking.

Either way, he's got trolling down to a fine art. Rather sad either way, given the effort he puts into it.

Oh dear, so I post that I like the new Shirt, explain why i like it, so that makes me a troll and a rag!? I don't doubt that there may be rags masquerading as blues on BM (pretty sad thing to do) but seriously, if that was me, I will admit myself I'm doing a p*ss poor job.

You will believe what you want to believe, and quite frankly I'm not ars*d either way, but to reiterate my rag credentials I like the new shirt.

Trolling is against the CoC isn't it? If he is a troll in breach of the rules - how has he lasted so long? why haven't you reported him for it? He's obviously got to you enough for you to block him!

Not for me to answer how he's lasted so long, but clearly he's very subtle with it, or he likes to think he is at least.

I rarely use the report button, but I have made an exception for him for that very reason - trolling in the thread about ticket prices, then a mod and another poster flagged up several of his old posts showing a continued theme of him shitting on our support, and that was it for me so I blocked him.

And here he is again shitting on our support while making a bizarre defence of the widely disliked new kit. I only saw it because I was having a quick browse offline.

Everything you have said is nothing but your opinion and your entitled to it, but im constantly irritated by fans who seem to think they speak for all City fans. My opinions are mine and no one else's and to reiterate - I really like the new shirt.
Ultimately, our 'opinion' is irrelevant. It will be the sales that dictate whether the shirt is a success or not. If it doesn't sell, they won't repeat it, and ultimately I'm fine with that. My guess is that it will sell well because this club is no longer simply appealing to a working class manc demographic who's stuck in some 60's 70’s timewarp - and thank God - because otherwise the club would never progress.
I can't see the problem with what he's said? How is he shitting on our support? Because he says some blues don't like the new City and they're stuck in a time warp - I know a few blues like that myself (some fans have even wrote books about the dislike of the new City) and I've definitely read the same sort of themes on here about the kit/website/badge/twitter handle/car parking for the souvenir shop/Txiki/Ferran/the Irish interviewer on CityTV/on and on. Iirc you like a good moan yourself don't you? ;)

I always thought blue mooner was s plant from the club, not an undercover rag.

Don't know the guy - never noticed his posts before, but I think he's on the wind up here. His liking of the shirt seems a bit too over the top and reads like a sales pitch from Nike! I loved the first couple of Umbro shirts, but never went so overboard as that.
Also, it's complete bollocks... he says it's easily identifiable as a City shirt... but as we've never had a shirt like that in our entire history, it simply isn't ...it's like giving Arsenal red sleeves - an all red shirt, with white trim and saying that is easily identifiable as Arsenal. Our shirt this year is more 'Coventry' than City!
Not saying it's wrong to like the shirt... but his posts are a bit suspect in their enthusiasm.

90 quid is a lot of money, but in reality it's the going rate for 'designer' clothes. Look at the cost of Diesel jeans or a Paul Smith shirt. As a fan, you have the choice, buy the 'designer' high quality players version or the replica version which looks like the kit but without the bells and whistles. I decided to stump up the extra and think it was worth it. Nike are a business stumping up millions each year and whether we like it or not they have to get a return. Clearly, they can't deliver this quality of shirt at a 55 quid price point.

I don't think the new shirt looks anything 'but' a City shirt, it's instantly recognisable, but with a variation in design from previous shirts, in the same way laser blue was a massive departure from our traditional sky blue. Should we still, have SAAB or Brother as the sponsor, as that was instantly recognisable City in the 80's and 90's ?

well seeing as you find them as examples of designer top end clothes that are worth buying, I know you must be taking the piss.

You say this is my opinion only yet it seems the majority here have the same, and though blue moon isn't a benchmark of all blues opinions it still telling that most find the kit un city like.

I only speak for myself though, and find no irritation if others dissagree, you like the kit, I find it horrendous, if you want to spend 90 quid on it fine, but you have called those that find the kit or price ridiculous backwards thinking, dinosaurs basically because they like tradition, or a least something resembling city.

Lastly you think our views are irrelevant, a very strange thing to think in my opinion, the club to it's credit seem to value our opinion even if they don't always act on it.

well they're hardly minor, and not all are from the badge. Besides, if you went with that argument, Nike should be allowed to give us sky blue with red trim, seeing as we have the rose.
Wash your mouth out. Black and red stripes, okay for away. If you thought navy sleeves were bad, imagine a red trim on our lovely sky blue. Fuck that.

Ha what a load of shit. You're either taking the piss or just painfully deluding yourself.

Took my daughter to a match the other season and was feeling flush, dropped about two ton in the shop on merch. Scarves, a pink tshirt with a glittery eagle badge, a smart jacket and a City teddy. Some other shit. I'm not gonna be buying this shirt. Looks cheap and nasty.
