New Kippax Kop Thingy

I've shared this image on another thread but having looked through Bluemoon this thread is probably more appropriate.
Quick photoshop job to show how the kop style stand may look...

Good work!

Could you make it so the corner is done as well?

I will give it a go... time limited due to work/wife wondering why I'm still glued to the Mac, but yeah I'll look at it tomorrow.

there are many lost soals (such as myself) who sing loud and proud on away days but are lost in a sea of pensioners and familys in the colin bell & east stands

So because you are a pensioner you are not allowed to a) sit down and b) sing????

a) I am in the Colin Bell stand and I am a pensioner. I don't stand because I can't for the full 45 minutes but

b) I sing and I shout for the team and yes I do get some funny looks but I have been supporting City for a long, long time and I will shout and sing when I want.

I pay for my season ticket and I am getting a bit fed up of people feeling that because we do not conform to what they want that we are not just as good and committed fans as you youngsters!!

As for away games, I go to as many of them as I can afford which this year has been quite a lot for various reasons, I stand for as long as I can manage, have a bit of a sit down every so often and never, ever, ever ask any fans to sit down!! I also sing at the away matches. Although, as I said in the Sunderland thread, it has been difficult this season because there has been a distinct lack of singing at away matches. No idea why that should be so but that's life I guess.

However I go back to my main point, it is not just the younger fans who sing and shout. I can sing whilst sitting down and see no reason why I have to stand to sing.

Well said, EB. I, too, get fed up of these wet-behind-the-ears, johnny-come-lately fans, who seem to think that they have the definitive version of how to support.

I am in favour of fans supporting any way they want. If folk want to stand, fine, if they want to sing, fine, if they want to sit, OK.

Why denigrate other fans who choose to support in their own way. And less of the ageist clap-trap. As for the 'sea' of pensioners, I can vouch that it is a sky blue sea, so button it! All you do is make me think you are better suited to another premier ship ground with legions of fans in the orient.

Vee haff vays of making you sing! And stand! Jawohl, Herr General!

Just wondering, everyone is getting prertty excited about the propsect of posibly getting a Kop like stand. The numbers that this stand might hold are prety high with numbers like 16-20 thousend being bandid aorund.
One question, do you think we could fill this stand with fans that are willing to stand up and sing. IMO there woudl be nothig worse then the 110-111 and the south stand moving to this kop and then being told to sit down by fans who are not wanting to stand up.
Whats your thoughts on this?
Thanks

Whoever said it will be for the South Stand or that people will have to relocate? I think you're getting ahead of yourself. Manchester City does not revolve around the South Stand you know.

Sit down Grandad, I can't see ;-)

I think they would fill a kop like stand easly if they just had it as unreserved seating and slightly cheaper tickets, not as low as a fiver but just £15 or something.

Also would build the atmosphere before games because you will need to get into the ground early to get a decent seat.
