I don't normally say this but number and posts, fact that you have 'seen' a kit that nobody else has, your name, I'm perfectly inclined to believe you are a RAG!!

what ive seen on the picture the shirt is the double of the 1978 home shirt minus the umbro badges on the arm, and wiv a small maroon shield behind the badge similar to the 1950s home shirt, shorts white wiv same badge as shirt, and with a maroon stripe and umbro badge, and socks are navy with maroon tops and white pinstripe.

Hmmm.... looking at what you said it doesn't look as bad as you suggested, just imagine trying to put those kits together, kind of a retro 80s, 90s feel to them? We'll see, I'm thinking of a more Kappa 1997-1999 feel in sky blue, but I didn't like that kit particularly. Looking back a bit similar to the 60s-70s kits with the maroon in the socks, looks like they've stolen a bit from each decade, but make up your own impression.

Sounds interesting, can't wait. Would prefer sky blue socks, but navy is a welcome change to a more intimidating sock colour.

I don't know what our problem is with this, as we always miss the marketing boat when it comes to new kits. Ok the last kits couldn't be aired due to contracts running out etc, but now we are in the exact same boat as Chelsea, i.e same manufacturer and sponser. They have released their new kit, so why aren't we?! People start going on holiday soon, some will go to the World Cup. The BEST way to make money off a kit is to have it in the domain at a time when people will buy them. Groups of lads will soon be going to the Spanish/Greek isles etc, RELSEASE THE KITS SO THEY CAN WEAR THEM! Thousands will be going to S.A. RELEASE THE KITS SO THEY CAN WEAR THEM! To release a kit 2 weeks before the season starts means the club has missed 2 months of sales, thats the way I look at it.

Its mad isn't it why they don't do it? I'm sure they must realise it, so why they don't is a bit of a mystery. I remember when the Kappa kits came out. We were due on a lads holiday to Aiya Napa and the kits came out ages before we went. That silly little souvenir shop we used to have was hammered, but I got the home one ready for the plane. In Aiya Napa there were thousands of those kits and the away one. Its quite annoying how I won't be able to let my lad have that same experience when we go away this year.

The question here is 'do we have a name on the back'? Had Dunnie - gone, had Robinho - gone, had Petrov - going. Last season got Tevez - hope he isn't going! The plain shirt is the way ahead for me from now on me thinks!!
