New Manager, New Kit & New Badge (City Weekend)

great weekend - cheers City -

Kit ordered for my kids anyway. Would of been nice to have a few more current players there
Agree a fantastic event by city even down to the free parking.
The club tries so hard to connect to the fans but the one area it hasn't cracked is getting the current players to connect with the normal fan, there was no reason why half the first team squad couldn't have attended yesterday
The women's team could manage it

Rival fans might scoff about the Cityzens weekend, but my kids really enjoyed it and that's all I'm bothered about. For a free, family event it was very good.

As long as keeps the kids excited as we were as young un's. I hope they extend it to give reasonably priced family ticket for some matches.

I thought he didnt, and I was listening for it too. Not one mention of maurinho (I thought during the whole interview)

Same here, I thought he referred to the "great managers" in the premier league but never actually named names

I'm no kid and I really enjoyed it. Chance to see loads of people and to see Pep and others in the flesh. There are still things City get wrong where the fans are concerned but yesterday wasn't one of them.

Too right - it was a nice gesture from the club, and a great weekend... for free! Not sure what 'other club's fans' have to scoff about to be honest!

City do this sort of thing brilliantly but like I said I'm more than happy to see the likes of weaver, rosler, power etc but the young ones need to feel some connection to their players, there was enough first teamers that could of showed ,imagine as a youngster having a medal presented by Vinny or a comp to meet yaya or fernandino.
Hopefully pep gets it across the club is bigger than the player and not the other way round

If you watch the vid below (should start at 31:59 which is where that section begins) pep mentions "Jose... Jurgen Klopp...Antonio Conte ...Claudio Ranieri...Pochettino...Ronald Koeman"

Must admit that at the time (we were there) we both missed "Jose"

Great weekend, really well organised. There seemed to be something for everyone, lots of games and activities for the kids, as well as interesting interviews and q and a's for the adults... not to mention well stocked bars!

The Bluemoon Tavern was a good setup, it's quite rare to have the opportunity to mix with former players. It was interesting to hear their thoughts on all things City, in an informal environment and great for the fans to have the opportunity to ask questions, get pictures and autographs etc.

The CFA hub had a lot of insightful features, I particularly enjoyed some of the interviews about the behind the scenes goings on with Chris Bailey, the City TV staff as well as interviews with Jason Wilcox and some of the players from the FA Youth Cup team. I was gutted to miss the talk on performance analysis and scouting. Did anyone see that one? Anything of note mentioned?

Thanks City for putting on a great weekend! I can't think of any other club that has done something like this for the fans, just another example of how lucky we are. After hearing from the man himself yesterday I'm looking forward to the new season... It's begun!
