I disagree. City should have blue shirts, white shorts and blue socks. They are the City colours. When I see the full blue kit I think Coventry, when I see white socks I think Lazio. When it's navy socks I know it's City, never seen another team ever play in sky blue shirts, white shorts and navy socks, unmistakably City.

So presumably you have not been happy with the socks for quite a while then?

Sky blue socks are fine, which is what we usually have over the last few years, they're a big part of our history also. I just don't get white socks with a City kit, just doesn't look right to me.

We had white socks from 1960/62 originally, then again in1995/97 and 2009/10 - so we have worn them before, but not much. I actually like the look of these, and think the full kit on the team will look smart - would have preferred sky blue myself, or navy blue to hark back to our first kit as City.
