i'm not too bothered about the shield anymore. it's not like it's anything new. we had it on other shirts as well. this kit is from 1956, it's got a shield: http://shop.mcfc.co.uk/stores/mancity/p ... ?pid=39677

it's the goal keeper kit thats stressing me out.

i like the jackets though.

On the label "Designed to the exact specification of championship athletes"

Would have preferred it if it was designed to the spec. of Premier League Footballers.

Now we know what the rumoured big fight was and why Nasty and Kompany have not been playing. Yaya specified the shield and Komps didn't. Nasty's in the defenders union so he backed his captain up. Big barney, Yaya goes off in a sulk and threatens to quit so they put the shield on the shirts. Komps and Nasty still not happy with the shield. Clichy hates the socks, says it makes him look as soft as Napoleon.

Also made in a sweat shop in Indonesia.

Sorry to be the token hippy, but whilst we're all moaning about the crap design of a shirt for which we'll be ripped off fifty quid and chuck in a drawer after a year, can we spare a moment for the women and kids who've *allegedly* been subjected to subhuman conditions to knock out this over-priced shite for our hysteric appraisal?

i didnt hire them ... not my problem.

There's a lot of nice stuff in the shop on the OS. The track tops. The polos. The hoodies.

There are also some fucking abominations...well, one - the training top.

The socks are a disappointment. How difficult would it have been to get blue socks.

That said, I'd really like to try a pair of those. They look comfy as hell and they have the little ankle pad there....a place where I seem to get a stud planted each week.

There are actually a lot of really nice designs up at the OS shop. The "pre-match" Training top might be literally the ugliest shirt I have ever seen. But whatever.

Agree with a lot of other posters - the black top must be the away and that looks quite nice.
I'm going to withhold my judgment of the black two tone away top until I see a better picture of it. As it stands, I'm ok with it, but not in love with it.

I can see where the inspiration is from though:

Interesting. I actually like these colours together and always have.

Ehhhhhh, I have at least 8 City shirts in my closet that look way worse than this new home one. Don't mind the shield THAT much, I guess. I certainly think this is nicer even than the 11-12 with the silly blue dots and collar tabs.

Wasn't sure till I saw it on the players but now I'm sold. Nice job Nike (shame about the shield)

Can someone post a link to a piccie of the players wearing it? I can't find it!
