radiohead are gash. oasis new stuff may have a lot of repition about it but there early stuff defined a generation, radiohead will never produce anything in the same league as definitely maybe.

As for Rush I disagree completely. They make a concious effort never to repeat themselves they have said this repeatedly in interviews.

totally agree with you but within this framework they will make music that they will like themselves not to any fad that might be out there

great new album by the way too[/quote]

I'll have to check that out, back in the day I was a big fan. Moving Pictures was my first compact disc ever!

Like the "epic" early albums.
Geddy Lee is one hell of a bassist.
Was I mistaken or were they accused of being influenced,(lyrically at least),by Ayn Rand?

No your on the money NF. The drummer writes all of the lyrics is influenced by Rand's work. I used to be into the early stuff too but the lyrics can tiresome and preachy at times. "The Trees" is an overt jab at socialism. "Now the Trees are all kept equal by hatchet, axe and saw" (;

well worth it, back to form with a bang, moving on from vapor trails which was a bit hard going at times

I'm loving The Shock Of The Lightning. If that's a sign of the album to come it's going to be great.
