New panel on Question of Sport

Alex Scott is absolutely clueless as a pundit. Her depth of football knowledge is embarrassing. She’s on a level with the infamous Talksport Antti Niemi Scotland goalkeeper caller. Shoehorned in because she ticks a few boxes.
Personally i think Alex Scott is pretty good as a female pundit , she seems clued in enough to me about football matters , isn't overbearing, and she's quite likeable with it.

I don’t hate Alex Scott, I think she’s a very bland pundit but there’s plenty of men equally as bland or worse, much worse in the case of Keown, but she’s on our screens far too much and it’s because she’s a box ticker.

Maybe we should get more black women on TV then, it's unfair that she should be so overworked??

Which box does Keown, Phil Neville etc tick, excalty? The only reason these people are on TV is becuase they are white man. Can you seriously imagine a women being as bad as Phil; Neville yet keep her job? Because I can't

100+ caps for the women's national team and has been on Strictly, that will raise the profile of QoS and attract a younger audience. PS, she will probaby earn a lot less than Sue Barker as well so us licese fee payers are getting good value

Bit of a bland choice. The programme needs a revamp. It would be better suited to a comedian or some smart arse, quick witted presented like the ex-copper with glasses who co-presents Pointless.

She's better than most male pundits from what I have seen, has been capped 100+ times by England I believe, she has very good sreen presence and seems like fun. She has also done Strictly which has raised her profile and QoS is probably looking to attract a younger audience - they are the only 'boxes' the BBC will be concerned about

And so what if there was some positive descrimination. There are plenty of minorities who don't get opportunities
Well said. It’s not a show I particularly care for, but she seems like a good choice to bring a bit of life back to a tired format. Good luck to her.
