I really like the new features on the main page but I am finding this new text in the forum very faint and difficult to get used to.

same here

Could you both let me know what browser/platform etc you're using, and possibly a screen grab please?

I like it in general, though I miss seeing a short preview of the body of the initial post when hovering over the topic title.

Overall, nice one cheers.

A few people have mentioned it, so I'll look at re-adding the topic preview hover as a priority tonight.

How could I change the number of comments per page?

I would prefer like 50 or 100 comments per page so in a 100 comment thread I could read it all on one or two pages and not going 10+ pages for that...

Is it possible?

Hi Ric.

As others have posted, nice, clean, and fresh. Looks good. :-)

I have 1 issue.

Posting pictures.

Is there any possibility you can do away with 1 of the 2 tags? Either img or bigimg? Or increase the default img size from 800 to at least 1000?

From a personal point of view it causes me problems.

Anything over 800 and I have to use bigimg. Anyone wishing to view the full size pictures have to click on them twice. Then they have to go back to the post and do the same thing with every other picture. It's a bit laborious.

Sometimes I post the images/pictures on SSC first. They use img for every picture size. I then have to copy and paste the img links on to BM and have to use bigimg instead.

I'd be really grateful if you would considering my request. There's at least another year on the new training Academy site, then there's the South Stand and possible North stand expansions, then there's the Collar site Leisure destination, and finally the Etihad Campus around the stadium. :-)

Thanks.

jrb.

No worries mate, that's done now.

My 2 thoughts:

the Black toolbar I think should be:

Left Hand Side: View New Posts View Active Topics View Unread Posts
Middle: Logout (Username) (0 new messages) User Control Panel
Right Hand Side: View Unanswered Posts View Your Posts .

I think having it all over the page is making it less usable.

And please let us see the start of the OP when we hover over a thread title.

You want all that in 1 toolbar Joe? Remember the stuff you want in the middle (user details) varies in User status (offline/online) and in the length of characters of the username. So having it all in one "div" would make it a nightmare, because it would never stay the same or there would be too much in it. The user details needs to stay independent.

As for the "OP Hover" ... do you have the .js for that? I'd use that on mine, a good idea that ;)

I'll go for weeks not noticing I have a PM with the way it is up there.

One thing I miss is the ability to be able to hover over a topic title and get a dialogue displaying the first couple of lines of the thread, thus avoiding reading a whole heap of bullshit.

I think mine has glitched as this morning the 'view' section was all on one line and looked fantastic, now it's in a list? Just a slight bug of mine as a designer, I can't stand all that space - it's almost a 550PX gap from the base of the banner to the thread title! I've included a screenshot and a quick edit to show what I mean.

How it currently is -

How it roughly was -

Edit - Is the big image tag glitched

Edit - Cleared cache and it's all fixed, looks superb.
