New striker?

I’m watching Benfica right now again. It still boggles my mind that Nunez could be seriously considered by us. He might score in a minute, but he’s so weak. SO WEAK. He wouldn’t be good enough for a Southampton with all due respect
That is a worry because he is a the one we will go for

Yeh I’ve seen him a handful of times and he is definitely not the answer to our problem up front.

The insane thing is after Haaland, who else is there really? Not a single striker that is close to Kun's pedigree when we signed him.

Leao looks promising at AC Milan. Maybe Calvert-Lewin and Daka. Armstrong is doing very well in the Championship, but we don’t really seem to buy players from there. Thuram and Edouard looks decent too, but Haaland is the only obvious one

I would go for Calvert-lewin.....he is young strong good in the air and on the ground. Goalscorer with all type of goals and will only get better. I like Jesus but we need someone's who gets across defenders, I would keep him but not as the main striker
It’s always a gamble highlighting a player because someone will invariably re-post it to show that you’re human and get stuff wrong. Saying all that, I too like Calvert-Lewin. Scores different types of goals, holds it up well, pretty quick and can even play wide.

I’m not sure I’d want to go all in on him, as in the number 1 pick to ultimately replace Aguero, but if we went for two forward players and it didn’t compromise our first choice I think he’d be a very good option.

Thuram is defo a no considering his actions recently. All those players are definitely promising but you couldn't rest your hat on any being a top 10 striker for 10 years like Aguero. If we seriously don't think we can pull off Haaland, I'd love bringing in Daka in January and just see how he does without coming in as the heralded Aguero replacement.
