New striker?

He’s probably not near enough the finished article for us, but there’s just something about River Plate’s Julian Alvarez that intrigues me. I know Ajax want him and apparently Villa, too, and he’s almost certainly bound for Europe soon. He’s been a winger but is starting to fill out and has the physical strength and that low centre of gravity that helps to play through the middle. Got a brace in the Superclasico yesterday and now has 7 in 11 in the league this season. Call me nostalgic but I do miss having an Argentinian in the team.

Never heard of the guy but will certainly be keeping an eye out for him in future, hopefully he starts against Spain tonight will be good to get a look at him

Torres needs a run of games. He is quick attacks space in the penalty area. I say play him as much as possible until the transfer window. Then City will know if he can be a striker worthy of this great team or not.

If I were a betting person, I'd bet on Vlahovic. Going into his final year at fiorentina therefore a slightly discounted price, probs in the 50-75 range. Not a lot of evidence that city have the stomach for a big deal that doesnt have a release clause these days, just can't see city paying Raiola 50 mil and alfe inge 25 mil and dortmund 150 mil and erling 500k a week. Would love to be wrong.
