Great young playerI don’t know if he’s been mentioned before but watching the Villa game highlights last night I was very impressed with Ollie Watkins. From the little I saw he always appeared to find great positions, is never afraid to have a pop at goal and scored again.

The question is who could we have bought ? Costa was the only realistic prospect, and a poor one. We are all entitled to our views, wishes, hence the forum. But there is a bit of me that does think that maybe, players werent available, financial considerations, other issues that we as fans are not aware of.I suppose we all want Haaland,I really do, but if he breaks the wage structure,upsetting other well established players, we end up like Utd. Throw money at a problem and it does not work out..Sanchez,Falcao,Schweinsteiger to name but a few. Dias was probably a second or third option and look now. Aguero will take weeks to get match fit & may get injured again, we can not rely on Jesus & sterling is far from his best.
We are probably in one of the best positions to win the league, cups & champs league. But all of this could be in jeopardy without a striker to offer something different. We are relying on foden & gundy scoring at the minute.
As it stands city have one fit striker & I would class Jesus as a winger not even a striker.
Mahrez I get but Sterling's scored 55 in his last 3 seasons. Still has a 1 in 2 G&A when we've not been scoring much. Give him a proper striker to take the pressure off and his all-round game will get back to where it was.I'd cash in on Sterling and Mahrez keep Jesus as back up ,develop Torres and prepare a farewell statue for Serg.
