I am of the opinion that Messi gained by having a genuine suitor, not just him threatening to leave, and we gained by proving both financially and attraction wise that we could get the best players, we did send an invitation but as i say for me it was to Mbappe and Haaland, Messi was just the taxi.

city have to get the best and a show of strength ? we are the only club not really hurt by covid-19 and have money to spend on getting the best. but it also can work against you and selling clubs will know city have money. selling clubs in one transfer can find there the clubs financials change and a money go round happens

if you took manchester city money out of football right now it would be in trouble ? nobody in the so called elite are debt free and running at big losses since covid-19 outbreak. the last reports are each clubs are losing £300 million this season and that will have to be dumped on the clubs debts ?

even manchester city will be hit hard under covid-19 and will have that figure of £300million losses in revenue
but we are debt free ? so manchester city must use the covid-19 outbreak and play the transfer market and selling clubs ? lets not get fooled or mugged off and over pay ? let manchester city set the bar on value and willingness to get the right people. the market value for top players will drop and £100million is the limit on anybody right now

Your just upsetting liverpool fans, according to the press and tv companies, they with their magic beans are leading the race with Real for Mbappe :)
 
I wouldn’t want him, but Lukaku is having an astonishing performance against Lazio right now. Very impressive

Strong, fast, good in the air, good hold-up play, great finisher and proven in the Prem. Good relationship with KDB and would piss United fans off if we won the league. I'd prefer Haaland but Lukaku would be great for us.
