I think based on that disastrous performance, Jesus should rightly be benched for Southampton. We should try Ferran up top again, he seems a clinical finisher in that position and has had his best game playing there.
That why I thought Kane. Its a realistic signing, he's ready to win trophies somewhere and would fit in our side perfect mate.

Kane will move at 30 when he has 1 year left on his deal. Probably to United, and try to emulate van Persie.
Also he almost had a career ending injury before he got to settle down properly and coming back from such a long lay off at this level takes loads of courage and confidence.I would argue Jesus needs to keep his place more than anything.
It's clear watching him that he's too eager to please, too anxious to try and do something and when he makes a mistake he beats himself up very publicly.
He's got the yips in front of goal. Go back and watch him in 2019 or 2020 and that Jesus would have 10+ more goals this year - but he's still got the skill and the technique, he's just having a crisis of confidence and its made worse by this idea Pep has created where if he doesn't score every game, he gets benched.
7 goals in his last 9 games, he's not playing badly.
The best thing for the rest of our season IMO would be to stick with him, let him feel like he doesn't need to play well and score every game in order to keep his place, let him relax and I think he'd immediately start scoring a lot more.
Yes we might get Haaland in the summer, but if you want to win this season, helping GJ get his confidence back is the best way to do it.
Same applies to KDB. He's not going to find his from on the bench. I said the same about Bernardo in autumn as well.

If we had a lethal striker this season we would win virtually every game because of the amount of chances we create . Jesus is a good striker but he is not a world class striker which we require .I’m really conflicted how I feel about Jesus, I sometimes think he can comfortably become our main man capable of 20+ Prem goals a season and gives us the pressing Pep desires from the front men. Then i watch him miss good chances each game and can’t help but think how much of an upgrade in front of goal someone like Haaland would be.
I do think Haaland would be an unbelievable signing and would love to see him in Blue next season.
That's not how it works though is it?If we had a lethal striker this season we would win virtually every game because of the amount of chances we create . Jesus is a good striker but he is not a world class striker which we require .
