How did you come up with the 2 league games part? From what I read and calculated they are missing five to six weeks with 5 of them having premier league games!they only miss 2 League games, even if their nations both get to the Final - same applies to Mahrez
They will leave to join their squads right after boxing day! so thats from 27th of December going on till early February depending on how far their teams progress.
So how is that 2 league games?

I can seeLiverpool have 3 premier league fixtures in January. I can see them missing a max of 4 league games
Liecester (28/12), Chelsea, Brentford, Palace and the FA Cup tie depending how far they go. Maybe Leicester on the 9/2 depending on fitness.
