It'll be a shame for the organisers, after all the effort they've put in.Sad for the organisers. I hope this bloody rain stops for this evening's event in St Peters Square

ditto Edinburgh, a lot people will have planned their trip there for months/years and the local economy will be hit hard. It'll be a shame for the organisers, after all the effort they've put in.
Mrs Vienna made me do that every year.Cos I’m a foc who else remembers standing outside their house at midnight with a piece of coal, a piece of bread and a coin waiting to be let in, coal was for staying warm bread was you don’t go Hungary and the coin was you always had money in your purse for the following year.
And codswallop.That's mental.
My turn to have the girls tonight.
Just got back from watching Wicked in the Cinema (2.5hrs FFS)
Now watching The Never Ending Story
Happy new year blues, have a drink on me!!!!!
Pm sent mateI'm in Tenerife which makes nights like these a bit more bearable. I'm not a youngster these days so getting hammered isn't my thing, though obviously I'll have a few. I like the fact you can walk about from bar to bar, though most are extremely busy. A lot are also charging and have become ticket only on NYE, something that didn't really happen when I first started coming over twenty years ago. Part of that is to keep the travellers out too. The highlight of the evening is watching the fireworks on the beach at midnight.
Happy New Year to you Kaz. The very best wishes to you for 2025.I am in bed at half eight , every nite , enjoyed going out when i was young and dancing all nite , good times then but i am a crooked foc now
Yes, I remember my older siblings doing all that, along with my neighbours. Going out the back door and entering through the front door too. Never had paid to get into a pub on NYE and I never will, mind you, I don’t venture out at NYE anymore these days. All the best, everyone.Cos I’m a foc who else remembers standing outside their house at midnight with a piece of coal, a piece of bread and a coin waiting to be let in, coal was for staying warm bread was you don’t go Hungary and the coin was you always had money in your purse for the following year. Also who remembers having to pay to get in a pub for new year.
