NYFC badge doesn't need to look like our badge. It will have a purely New York theme.

It's called 'continuity' and also whilst it IS a brilliant crest design, there is too much correlation. Simpler will make it perfect, me thinks.

Just done a new one .... i think its oustanding .... and i never compliment myself on anything i do. proper american style.

Putting the Manchester rivers on a New York clubs badge is retarded.

NYCFC is supposed to be a sister club not a subsidiary. It's not only owned by MCFC but also by the Yankees.

Found this on the net - I think its pretty poor - the blue is the wrong colour and pinstripes are a complete no-no!
The badge is a bit bland but has a bit of a retro feel that's quite interesting.
Ideas?

Funny I think that sounders kit is one of the worst colour combinations in the history of football. A stadium full of that colour is nauseating. Not good if you have a hangover.

Does anyone really think the kit would be done by Adidas with our new sponsership with Nike and i assume the yankees are also with Nike so i hardly think this will be real!

Oh and all MLS teams have to have adidas kits, they have a league wide sponsership deal.

and to the two people that called the bird on the badge a pheonix it's an Eagle allways has been, I can't understand why people keep calling it a pheonix.

MLS has been interested in honoring "football" heritage in the US, not necessarily related to the current teams.

There was, for one year, a club that existed in soccer called the New York Yankees. They traced their origins to the Fall River Marksmen.

Don't know if its been mentioned, not read the thread yet, but New York has three rivers. The Hudson, Harlem and East rivers. There are companies - Three River Press Co., for example - that use the three rivers theme of New York too, so I assume its an important thing for the city.
