New York City FC Thread (new away kit P245)

Re: New York City

It's almost bizarre-ingly reassuring that that we're seeing the Hughes era, over there.

As we had our Tevez ball demander, as they do too in Villa. As our team of lads were back then, the New York lads now are afraid to not give Villa the ball in attacking situations, even when there are slightly better options in the play.

Kreis needs to have more faith in Shelton and play him instead of Nemec and using the big Slovak as the battering arm sub. Using Shelton will force Villa play the ball earlier and more for the team. Calles looks a decent player, but needs more time on the pitch to find his rhythm.

NYCFC defo need at least one better defender.

Re: New York City

Dominating possession without creating too many clear chances and looking vulnerable against the more physical teams
Sounds familiar.

Re: New York City

I will be in Orlando when NYCFC play Orlando City, does anyone know which block will be allocated to NYCFC fans?

Haven't they already played each other in Orlando?
They have but it's not just home and away fixtures in MLS. Play some clubs three times, and others once.

Don't they also put the away team first in fixtures so if it was NYFC at home v Orlando it would be shown as
Orlando at NYCFC.

They do for the other sports here but not football. Home club 1st

Since when? It's always been reversed as far as I remember.

Re: New York City

Fairly entertaining first half, that. NYC bossed it with loads of possession but.... hmmmmmm..... no fluency with the final ball.

Nemec and Ballouchy are just utterly terrible players. Shelton looks good. Villa obviously unplayable at this level but has to work with Nemec. So still 0-0.

EDIT: so no sooner said than the aforementioned Ballouchy scores! 1-0 City!

Villa off at half (rested for Sunday, apparently.) This Poku looks very impressive!
