There have been a number of reports posted today how the media generate many many times more negative reports into any terror attack that can be attributed to Muslim fundamentalists or "foreigners" as opposed to those carried out by white Christians who are sadly just mentally ill....................
It really is, but as a British Muslim I just accept this is how things will be because at the end of the day the west is historically white and no matter where you are in the world people will try and protect their own.Its amazing how news channels are dissecting the arrested perpetrator, his background and his motivations - totally the opposite to when other terror attacks take place. Its almost like because of his upbringing there is a need to explain away his actions for their audience which is not needed when other terror attacks take place when names, religion and country of origin are enough to justify condemnation. Its a disgrace.

I agree that our media cover things differently whether it's 'Islamic' terrorism or 'extreme right wing' terrorism.
I'd like to know if this difference is also on display (the other way round) in the media in predominantly Muslim countties.?

I'm hoping some of our fellow Blues/ participants in other countries can give us some insight on this matter.
Not really seeing any bias either way regardless tbh.
The biggest difference i can see is that he is thought to be acting on his own and thus is a extremist nutter and accusations of white supremacy and far right ideology are being thrown at him, as opposed to this being a radicalised muslim.
One is part of an organised and large movement, the other being a bedroom terrorist.
He doesn't seem to be part of an illigal organisation.

The question (or at least my question) wasn't about 'perceived' perception from an individual standpoint, but about how the media in other countries, Non Western, are reporting White Terrorism.
