Newcastle 1-1 City post match thread

The positive to bring from this game, is that we got to witness how a team can become drastically better with a new manager.
Oh, and Vinny came through 90 minutes okay, which is not what I expected to be honest.

Good luck to Newcastle, I do hope they stay up.

I just don't see what others see in him. His only beneficial attribute is that he can run fast. People seem to think he's going to take the world by storm? Just no. Andros Townsend looks better to me. Got more about him.
When have we seen him run fast?

Don't worry.

When everyone is 100% fit we can shoehorn them into a 442 & if the opposition doesn't pack the midfield we'll be fine. Ok if they do, we will lose, but that's kind of cheating.

Sterling looked really sharp when he came on. Loads of pace. The boss must have had a difficult decision to make leaving him out after watching him in training. Thank fuck we didn't use some shit kid as sub. Delph after miseing 1000 games injured & barely playing for five mins just slotted into that wide spot like he was born to play there.

And that tactical switch moving DeBruyne out wide & bringing on Bony.. who could have guessed ?

I bet Benitez shat himself when that happened. Never would have even considered it. Good for Kev to get another 90 mins too whilst Otamendi has a rest. Makes sense as Vinny is obviously miles fitter now than he will be in a week so a good time for that one.

All in all a great point. Newcastle were really flying.

Amen

And WTF was up with Vinny's socks and shin pads? Only modern supserstar I've seen wear them that low is that jabroni Thomas Muller

Was all about the 3 points and we werent good enough. Saw they had run 5km more than us toward the end. Would be interesting to see how many times that has happened this season.

They clearly were more willing to fight and work for the result.

When you consider that the centre halves and keepers from both teams will run around the same, you are looking at each Newcastle player running, on average, 625 metres on average more than our players. We were clearly out enthused.

I can understand players having poor games but to be so out-enthused is incredibly disappointing.

Why rip into Sterling who came on late in the game when the team was already in can't be fucked mode? State of some of you.

Can't believe it. Just back from injury, to boot. Looks like the bm professional coaches/scouts have found another scapegoat.
