Newcastle (A) Post-Match Thread

Thought Gundo was fantastic today and is it too late to sign up Merlin for another year?
Agreed. Apart from their one missed chance, it was a walk in Sid James' Park.
Best comment of the night?

You can see Barnard Castle if you've got good eyesight".
PMSL.

if i was not a city fan i would love watching them playing. but i am and truly blessed and proud to see the stuff we play. forget all the bollocks about the history clubs like united and liverpool and so called giants of the game ? its about the here and right now and your truly watching a master manager and players in pep and manchester city. how can you not watch city play ? if you love football and like i said i would be loving watching a team play like city

how on earth did we not score and win the game from open play in the first half ? it was like watching men vs boys. the ball was stuck on the city players foot ? it was like having a peter barnes football trainers tied to your shorts haha. never mind have 5 subs they should use 2 balls when playing city one for us one for them

the harlem globetrotters of football we truly are that good ? i think that's why we have problems at the back because they are watching the the players upfront with the ball and turn off hahahaha

Good performance, but we can play better. The crossing from the full backs especially Mendy was poor and he needs to improve both offensively and defensively.

Completely dominated the game but we were too wasteful in front of goal and we nearly paid the price with another Otamendi mistake. Good to see Sterling score again and onto another semi final.

I’d say Mendy also put in some incredible crosses that were just begging for someone to get on the end of. I was impressed with him.

I thought Mason was excellent today...

With no away fans screaming at him to get out of the way, he could just quietly

get on with his job at continually blocking our passing lanes. Unfortunately for

him, whilst accomplishing this, he found himself in the rare position of being in

the most advantageous position to see the two shoves in the back of Jesus....

Played really well there, was good to see the intensity back in our play. Concerning about Jesus tho, lacks that instinct in the box that Aguero has. Good to see Sterling back scoring again
