Newcastle (H) Post Match Thread

Utter nonsense.

He looked lively and threatening today, his touch is sublime and his vision superb. He fits in wonderfully with our other array of technicians.
I thought he had a decent game today. Funnily enough I think there were a few who said similar about Bernardo last year, Sane a couple of years ago, silva 8 years ago, etc. - let's give him chance to settle

Just back after a bite to eat on the way home. Sterling was unplayable, Silva magnificent.

Aguero and Jesus bad today and I still don't get Mahrez, doesn't seem to fit or understand his role so far for me. Mendy is a big worry and he is pulling Laporte out of position time and time again.

Oh and Newcastle are shite, some of their fans are also a disgrace, effing and blinding at kids outside Asda, if my pregnant Mrs wasn't with me the utter **** screaming about Adam Johnson in my face would have got a crack, group of 10 or not.

Tough game against a typical benetiz well drilled defensive minded side. Not quite clicking. But its early days.

Unfortunately we do not seem to have a set starting 11 for prem games this season due to no pre-season and longterm injury to KDB, who was key to our setup.
We probably won't this season.
Too many good players wanting game time - but who to play and in what formation, and in some cases where?
Mahrez was totally ignored as a passing option for most of the game. 2nd half he was stood on the right touchline in acres of space where the play from midfield went Left to Sterling, with 3 Newcastle players already on him.
Mahrez did look poor today for me.
He is going to if nobody gives him the ball in training either... I thought he looked lost as to what to do when he got the ball - but not getting it out to your wing should be an invitation into the box - sure he just stayed out wide. Serious coaching still needed (and more confidence in him from other players).
This could get too long ... we won, I am overanylysing things

If we play 3 at the back which Pep seems to like at home.

Walker Stones Laporte
Bernardo Dinho Mendy
Silva Raheem
Kun Jesus

4 at the back
Walker Stones Laporte Mendy
Dinho
Raheem Silva Bernardo Sane
Kun
