Newcastle (H) post match thread

I forgot to mention in my last post that Andy Carroll is a ****. Such a snide bastard who has no ability anymore other than giving centre backs a flailing arm into the face from crosses. Well done Cancelo for leaving a little bit on him.

Cancelo has a nice bit of needle to him.

Really growing to like him.

A detriment to the team is when a player doesn’t get involved and disappears to the point you forget they’re playing.

De Bruyne was often involved and could even have had a couple of goals. You desperately need players like De Bruyne in the team because without them you end up with the issues I mentioned in the first paragraph.

De Bruyne isn’t and never has been a detriment to this team and even without his best form, we’re a better team with him than without him.

If he creates 2 chances a game but ends 10 attacks with poor touches is that still a net benefit to the team, I don't think it is.

And he could have had a couple of goals but as he has done all season was let down by his awful finishing. That's not a positive in my opinion.

I feel like Foden could do more for the team if he was given such a free role in that position.

Maybe I am spoilt after watching David run the game from that position but currently I don't think Kevin is really adding anything that other players can't do.

Gundogan has been far better in the last few games playing as an 8 alongside him.

I ended up listening a little bit tonight rather than playing music as I spotted Ned on.

Darke has managed to rename most of our team with double barrelled names....£40million-Ake, Dias£65million etc, strange it was just Joelinton, wonder why that was?

I take it he's always like this?

He even sleep talks about price tags.

Just hoping that Cancelo & Gundogan haven't picked up an injury. Both seemed to be limping towards the end. Gundog got subbed and not sure if he got a knock or something but Cancelo was a bit reckless with that late challenge on the thug that is Carroll and seemed to come off worse for it.

Need Aguero back up to speed, he got in behind 3 times in 15 mins due to his movement dropping off behind the defender.

A much improved performance albeit against a poor newcaslte side (but e have played other poor teams and not played as well).

We seemed to move the ball quicker (esp after Rodri went off), cancello was excellent, Ake is a beast in the air for someone so small (for a defender).
I have slated Gundogan but for the second match in a row he was the best of our midfielders. He was much more positive tonight in his passing and moved it quicker.
Stones was excellent again and Dias continues to impress.
KDB still looks a little off but he was also better

We look even better with a goal threat in Sergio up front (anyone notice his cross field vollied pass from a throw in a few mins after coming - that was someone keen to make up for lost time and only an excellent save from their keepr denied him a goal

Great result and improved performance
Big game next with Everton being where they are in the league.
