I think there there is a thread on him somewhere on here…Who up top thought letting Palmer go was a good idea ?.
Was odd, Gundo had two or three options including just pumping it at an empty net but he literally waited until Pope was back. Worst game I've seen from Gundo, early days though.Pep will be fucked off with the decision making from Gundo to make it 2-0. Away from home you are always going to suffer with only a goal advantage. That would have killed the game and allowed us to manage it a lot better, potentially winning comfortably.
Instead we fail to take advantage and it costs us ultimately. You don't get many gifts at this level, but that opportunity from Pope had to be punished. Haaland was the ball all day long and Gundo will know it. I'm sure Pep will be telling him.
However, a point is okay. Nothing to panic about. One of the toughest games of the season without two key players. Not a disaster.
Wow motd , was that high lights of the game ?
Personally thought we were slightly the better team today without really creating much. But watching motd you would of thought we were lucky to get a draw.
Funnily I watch the match via a link on my firestick, the one that had Shearer and Shay Given has analysts. So I hear Shearer say , he didn't think it was a pen ,
"Gordon poor touch, over hit the ball , then kicked his right foot out to make contact"
But noticed all three pundits on motd, "thought it a penalty" !
We have played Chelsea (away, currently 4th), Arsenal (home, 3rd) and Newcastle (away, 7th) in the first six games and are right up there. Everyone relax.
He should have been invited to review his decision was what I meant to say. They have camera views where they can see an obvious mistake has been made but they let the decision stand because because it wasn't clear and obvious to the ref on the pitch. We have a situation where the last three goals against us should have possibly been disallowed and it's making a farce of the game, not just for City, but every other club when this nonsense happens. But that's weird, they don't have to overturn his decision. In fact, they can't. They can invite him to come to the monitor. He can stand by his original decision, if he's not convinced. That can never be repeated often enough.
let it go....Who up top thought letting Palmer go was a good idea ?.
