Newcastle United (A) - Post-Match Thread

First half was strange, we were sloppy but managed to score twice, second half was typical dominant City.

Newcastle are an embarrassment to Dirty Arab Oil Money.
Looks highly likely they are going to have to start investing from a a lower league....they deserve to go down as they are extremely poor.....that fat Geordie on youtube will be crying into his Brown Ale come May unless they get some serious recruits in January...and they will pay highly inflated prices if they do that.

edit

Just looked on here: https://www.thefa.com/football-rule.../football-11-11/law-12---fouls-and-misconduct

I may have missed something but it doesnt say either way on this...
The closest is either these options:

  • Reckless is when a player acts with disregard to the danger to, or consequences for, an opponent and must be cautioned - its def not reckless as GK's side out like that all the time
  • Using excessive force is when a player exceeds the necessary use of force and endangers the safety of an opponent and must be sent off - there is no excessive force at all so not relevant
  • impedes an opponent with contact - this is the closest for me...but he doest impede the Newcastle player from getting the ball as its already in our possession with Cancello
EDIT 2

Just seen this...I guess it falls under this one the closest:

Impeding the progress of an opponent means moving into the opponent’s path to obstruct, block, slow down or force a change of direction when the ball is not within playing distance of either player.

But it says this under it:

All players have a right to their position on the field of play; being in the way of an opponent is not the same as moving into the way of an opponent........And id say Eddie has a right to be where he is so again not a penalty
