Pep Guardiola on his relationship with Khaldoon: "We’ve worked together from the beginning, I’m delighted to work at this club and with this chairman. We can talk about the club and how we can do better, he’s humble.”

Pep Guardiola on #NEWMCI: "Newcastle away is always [difficult]. It’s a tough test, we know the situation we’re in, we have Burnley away and then the derby against [Manchester] United.”

Pep Guardiola on @sterling7: “He’s getting better season by season. On the contract I can’t answer, it’s Txiki [Begiristain] and Ferran [Soriano] in charge of that.”

Pep Guardiola on clean sheets: "We’re alright defensively, we concede few chances, we have to adjust a little detail but we concede few chances and few goals.”

Pep Guardiola on the defeat to Newcastle last season: "It’s forgotten, we played slow, we forgot to attack at 1-0. We learnt from it, we spoke about it.”

“We spoke about being who we are after the next game. In that moment, I didn’t think we’re going to win 14 games in a row and win the Premier League. It was the same meeting as usual [after the game].”

Pep Guardiola on the title race: "I’m not thinking about winning the Premier League right now. First we have to get past Leicester, then Liverpool. I know we can’t lose at the moment.”

Pep Guardiola on the Mikel Arteta to Arsenal rumours: "It's not a question for me."

I have a bad feeling about this one despite our good record away to Newcastle. I’ll miss the first half coaching my son’s junior team, the last time that happened was Newcastle away in January...

which is strange cos start of last season and the season before when we had Mendy fit, he was all in for 3-5-2. It looked like it was going to be his preferred system. Now it seems he wants no part of it even thought the available players make it a good fit.
Totally agree as Kun and Jesus were lethal together and then Mendys injury nightmares begin in the home game against Palace, with no recognised replacement, Pep pulls a masterstroke in converting Zinc & Deiph into left backs and has never looked back
