Another laboured performance tonight. Feel like we need to shake things up a bit. I’d like to see us go with the following XI, but realise there is little chance of that. They looked poor against Villa too, but will be a different proposition at home I’m sure.
Ederson
Walker
Stones
Otamendi
Mendy
Fernandinho
Foden
De Bruyne
Mahrez
Sterling
Jesus
which is strange cos start of last season and the season before when we had Mendy fit, he was all in for 3-5-2. It looked like it was going to be his preferred system. Now it seems he wants no part of it even thought the available players make it a good fit.I have felt the same since the Wolves game, and even more now Kun is out injuries as Raz & Jesus can play up top but Pep loves 4-3-3
Low crosses don’t work against a team that sits deep, for that to work we need a good 6 pr 7 yards between the last man and the keeper, cut backs are the only option unless someone attacks the near post. Please get back to high tempo, pressing, fast breaks, low crosses, the high ones are sooooooo fucking annoying and cut backs,we seem to be playing a different way and it's really not working, sure up the middle with dinho, that would make all the difference or maybe i don't know what i'm talking about?
Also the geordies will want the ball in the air so keep it and build up on the grass

Last season we slipped up there so take nothing for granted, and last season we were playing much better than this seasonMust win, which we will.
