Tough game this, have to keep our good start going. No fucking about here, absolutely go for them right from the off, keep the crowd quiet and demoralise their team early on.

So important that we put away any early chances or it could be an awkward game that no doubt the ref/var will try and sway in their favour.

Honestly, I believe City will win. I think Newcastle offensive system still is subpar, but their defensive game is really good. So I think they will eventually concede against us and will not have the offensive power to try a better result.
My biggest worry is about Haaland goalscoring. He needs goals to feel more relaxed and adapted. He also said a big reason why he came to City was how many touches/opportunities the system creates. He almost didn't touch the ball last match.
So I hope he can score against Newcastle. The sooner he is relaxed and confident in the system, the better.

Yeah, will be plenty of games like that but even yesterday he should have had a very goal off Foden and was close to a few others fizzed across. Even for Foden’s goal if the keeper wasn’t crap he probably gets a tap in

Extra skin in this game for me. Pa Bollo was in the RAF so we moved about quite a bit. When I was about 13 he was posted to RAF Boulmer on the Northumberland coast and on the day we arrived I turned in the telly to see that tuppence Pleat running on to the Maine Road pitch in his fucking pervert shoes celebrating sending us down.

It didn’t get much better for the years following and I took total dogs abuse from the local barcode kids for being the what felt like only City supporter in the county. Even the few Berwick Rangers kids took the piss. That’s loneliness. I used to go quite a bit to St James with my dad while we were up there and I don’t think I ever saw a result when we played them.

Anyways, no matter how much Mike Ashley flavoured shit they’ve had munch down in the years following, I still take extra pleasure in seeing them get thoroughly stomped. 0-10 City.
