He basically seems to spend his life travelling and following City,I asked him what he does and was surprised,very surprised actualy with his answer !He comes across as a genuine fella. He gets up to some mad stuff all over the shop!

I disagree strongly with that point. Gündogan was brilliant when he first signed. I seem to recall him scoring two in CL group match v Barca. He then had an ACL injury during a match against Watford and struggled to get his form back.Kovacic has done far more at this stage of his City career than Gundo did.
I love Gundo, but for the first couple of seasons he was ordinary, he became a great player in his last 3 seasons.
Kovacic has been outstanding so far, and I am sure he will become a lot better.
