Newcastle United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Could somebody please tell me who the applause was for during the game ? Nobody knew around me so I'm in the dark. Not sure if it was for the lad killed on the Everton ground???..

Absolutely fuck all on the right hand side, walker doing 2 jobs , and Newcastle fans win the day
One the train home and the only good thing was the result. Terrible welcome home by the fans for the treble winners
Flabbergasted!….you do know Pep likes to create overloads on the pitch, and played Julian inverted to create that type of situation ? Which led to the goal. KW also had the freedom of the right hand side to do what he wanted, as our 3 CB’s provided enough defensive cover & shuffled over, it’s about playing to your strengths

What was the attendance yesterday? I know it was a ‘sell out’ but wondering why City haven’t declared it.

Clearly tactical decision with burn playing hybrid centre/full back leaving walker to push on. And as you say the 3 "centre backs" providing defensive cover

Tough game against a physical team. If Howe is their answer, it looks like they’re asking the wrong question.
Agreed, I thought we were well disciplined overall and especially in the first half. Kept the ball well and were patient.
