Genuinely think Erling might be the worst controller of a football we've had post takeover.

i don't understand erling's positioning. is he trying to make himself as hard to find as possible? Every time there's a chance for a cross he's nowhere near a good position

Fuck me grealish is shit

(Erling’s) Body language has been poor on top of it.

just know were going to fuck up

Haaland like bambi on ice sometimes. difficult i suppose

Haaland has been shocking, need him to hold it up

Jack greilish has offered Jack shit, I'd put Palmer on.. What the bloody hell is Haaland up to? Just kept running into the net
Me in EL1

He also said tgst he liked the 11 on the pitch and yhe rhythm they had..so let's have the full facts of what he said.

We're you the guy caught on TV that thought he knew better than Pep?
I wish. Probably had acted as well. As in standing up and walking down to shake his hand.

Have been thinking about last night’s game a lot today. I think the CL win has elevated us even further. We looked absolutely colossal at time. As the whole team has grown in stature. Terrifying.

Had a quick shufty at two toon forums and, fair play, they are mostly complimentary about City rather than curmudgeonly about us or the result, reminding each other that it was a good reflection of how far they've come holding the best team in the world (their words), to 1-0, even acknowledging we were not full strength.

One guy managed to combine both by asking how "that shit-haircutted little c**nt Foden can have stinkers for England but always plays like the spawn of Messi against us..!"
Hahaha!!!

A few said how unreal Phil was Saturday... long may it continue!

Sat with two Newcastle fans on the train back to Preston after the match and they had nothing but compliments to City. Said they were made up with only losing 1-0 and had gone with no expectations at all of getting anything. Feels like teams are in awe of us at the moment and half beaten before they turn up.

Finally getting round to watching the match (couldn't watch it live). The brilliance of Julián's shot is equalled only by what Phil does before it to create the space. I invite people to look at that and savour it (probably for the umpteenth time!): what he does is extraordinarily difficult. The last time I saw someone as nimble as that in midfield it was one, David Silva.
By the way, that was a huge performance, against a determined, resilient, well-coached, compact Newcastle side. With skill too — Guimaraes and that Almirón can really play. Nobody will find it easy to beat them if the Toons play like that this season. It'll be easier to beat Arsenal.
Three big points.
