Our most complete performance of the season, that kinda rolled back the years to peak Guardiola.
Excellent all over the pitch, playing with pace and desire, thus keeping Gordon & Isak quiet which is no easy task.
Omar will take the plaudits for a superb hat-trick obviously, but Nico at CDM provided what we’ve been lacking all season.
Dare Pep play him on Wednesday in the 2nd leg?
Whilst I agree with most, It was Phil’s movement that dragged Tonali all over the show which allowed the 3 in-front of him the space needed.
They continued their woeful form at our place. Despite one defensive brain fart which nearly let them back in we were excellent yesterday. The team looked unrecognisable from those that have regularly turned up in recent months. Is it to much to hope we can give Madrid and the dippers a run for their money after this?Good performance from us. Really expected a lot more from Newcastle, not complaining though.
Beat the Scouse murderers at Wembley and you will forget today mate...go on beat the cunts and make blue moon and most of the country very very happyWe were absolutely humiliated today. You fans deserve playing someone competitive. I thought we'd lose, but it would be a good game and competitive. I'm not taking anything from you guys, despite what some people think I personally think your the benchmark in which to be judged, but dear me the Club I love sometimes humiliated and embarrass you and today for me,this was the case. I just wan us to bed competitive, it'll make the PL competitive. Well played you were fantastic today but you were let down by us, we didn't even give you a game. We are so s**t sometimes, I'm fuming.
Eshcaveri ? says Hi !!I am still buzzing. The potential in this squad is enormous. We are deffo on the right lines. The new recruits look excellent. We need a full back and maybe a creative midfielder (KDB and Gundog will move on) but with Rodri and Oscar on the way back and Reis still to be tested, this is very exciting. I hope our raised tempo and judicious use of the long ball alternative does not dribble away. Pep said something the other day which hinted that he thinks our old tactics have served their purpose, so I am hopeful. Onwards blues!
Well said mate. That amazing win was on Pep yesterday lol. Some on here are quick to have a go. It’s a season of transition and the goat is building a new team.we will still have our ups and downs this season but the future looks sky blue to me. Be very afraid!!!!Yesterday's performance was a great example of why top players are just that and the rest of us watch from the sidelines voicing polemical views. The top players recover quickly from adversity.
The pre match thread or "Dread" included children crying because rico Lewis was playing(who wears the nappies in that house) . Certain defeat and an overun midfield because Gundogan was included. Abuse aimed at the manager because he did not concur with their selections.
Pep is rebuilding, while knowing he still needs to keep us a CL team, so many injuries( one poster even criticised players for suffering from injury yesterday).
We will be quicker, better and more successful with the rebuild, some need to get a grip.
Or maybe I shouldn't read match threads.
I hope we can,I really do. On a side note I met up with my Geordie mate both before and after the match. He took the result fair and square as always. Quite a few blues engaged with him in the most welcoming fashion in the pub, it was superb. They continued their woeful form at our place. Despite one defensive brain fart which nearly let them back in we were excellent yesterday. The team looked unrecognisable from those that have regularly turned up in recent months. He looked like a pub footballer too me, slightly balding overweight and scruffy. Had a great game though.Nico looked like he had been there for years. Confident, hard working, commanding. No doubts at all. My MoM.
I cringe at some of our so called fans. And it’s not just the match threads. They infest every thread. There’s nothing wrong with constructive and even frustrated views, but some of the spoilt brats on here are pathetic. City were fucking superb yesterday. Every other manager would have walked this season. We’re so luckyYesterday's performance was a great example of why top players are just that and the rest of us watch from the sidelines voicing polemical views. Balotelli - esque.Haaland grew 2 inches with that armband on I'd let him keep it. I like having that big massive unit staring down the opposition skipper at the coin toss aswell. Found it reassuring.
Haha. The BBC comments section is like a gathering of fucking village idiots.City must’ve won a match, the bbc comments thread is in meltdown.
