Presumably that's true but the regulation discussed in the week seemed to be moving to a new definition of related which applied to only two clubs and one specific region.
A narrow definition like that would be in restraint of trade and could not survive a legal challenge. If the PL move away from IAS definition they will lose all credibility

Palace ultras, the most pointless thing i n UK football as the cunts are neither a) ultras or b) taken serious.

On the baner nowt they put on the list is untrue about the saudi government however stand outside the saudi embasy with it as it has got fuck all to do with newcastle and its fans fans as per wrong message in the wrong place

Just to stir the pot, Saudi human rights not allowing gay rights in their own country, who are we to tell them right from wrong. I'm all for equal rights in our country but should we get involved in other countries beliefs. It went well in Afghanistan and Iraq being the world police didn't it?

And all the other countries that we choose to ignore, Burma (Myanmar) is just one of many where we choose to put our fingers in our ears and go la hlah lay.
Of course a Burmese businessman is not threatening the Rag, dipper domination of the money pot.

I'd happily have absolutely nothing to do with them. But you're saying that like they're a country that keeps themselves to themselves, rather than using their vast fortune to spread their intolerant bigotry throughout the world under the guise of religious and educational institutions. They certainly have no problems telling non-Saudi Muslims how they ought to behave. They certainly aren't moral relativists and wouldn't defend themselves on those grounds.

But having said that, it's amazing the number of people who have suddenly come to this realisation since their team's position at the top of the table is under threat.

Tbh I'm enjoying the barcodes being the target of the nonsense. This must be how Chelsea fans felt when we were taken over and all of a sudden no one was asking questions about them anymore.

Will never happen imho, and, even if it did, there would be plenty of companies willing to put 20 million into Newcastle sponsorship in return for a billion dollar contract in Saudi.

This is something the cartel can't win, either legally or in practice.

Our owners are too nice, Saudis will be ruthless, I imagine.

Agree.
The might of the state will always win when there is big £££ involved and a strong relationship with other governments

Saudis will be far more aggressive than us but we've done well in no small part with our strategy of sharing deals Abu Dhabi are all over directly or indirectly:

China
NYC FC
Nissan
Nexen
Silver Lake
etc etc

Effective state ownership in our case has had big benefits.

It’s the hypocrisy that sticks in the craw of most people.

If the boot was on the other foot, and a mega-rich Saudi had invested in Palace, you can bet your bottom dollar there wouldn’t be a squeak of protest at Selhurst.

But can you? You can't use hypotheticals to argue hypocrisy.

Maybe these guys would have felt unease at their club being taken over by an investment fund with the evil MBS as chairman.
