So Naive! She must look at city and thinks it’s a piece of piss like a few do! Scum spent 1.4b Everton spent 500m Villa spent shit loads have good settled board!

It pisses me of when people at clubs say stuff like this!

When pep goes we are guaranteed nothing but like all clubs who a run well we have a great chance of winning more trophies!

So No Staveley it is not easy to win trophies if you have money and a settled board!

Hope they go down crash and burn now!
Get the popcorn out.
It's going to be great watching the establishment clubs trying to put hurdles (to put it mildly) in the way of Newcastle's development.
All the toon fans that sheepishly used to slag us off are going find out how we have been feeling for the last 13 years.

Ake is a good player but there is a difference between being a good defender and one who is as good as Laporte, Stones and Dias who are three of the best defenders in the world.

Ake scores goals, is dominant in the air and is a leader. He'd be a very good buy for Newcastle. I'd let him go if Newcastle offer £40m plus. Alternatively swap deal for Saint Maximin / Wilson?

I've got no hate for Ake but like you say he's nowhere near the other 3 you mention in terms of quality. I think we paid well over the odds for him. I don't see us getting that kind of money back, hence my comment. I think if we let him go it will be for something like £20- 25m, if we get offered anything over that then I think we are doing well. We might decide for that kind of fee it's better to keep him as back up. He might fancy a move to get guaranteed starts though. I don't see Newcastle offering over £40m for him.

Would Ake go in January though! He might think sticking around playing a few games and maybe winning a trophy be more important to him.

Their heads well in the sand they think we got easy ride and rules only count against them

even if we lost one of the main three defenders due to injury, not sure Ake has shown anything even as cover. I think it's just one of those deals that doesn't work out for club and player, best to move on.

I think Ake would be a good signing for them, we forget that when he plays for us it's almost his first game of the season and he doesn't get the "pre season pass" others seem to get.
I thought he was a great player for Bournemouth and still think he is but city are world class.
No doubt should he go he will get back to the player he was, if not better after working with Pep.
Never heard a whisper of discontent from him and seems to get be a team player.
Don't be surprised if you see posts in the future saying he done fxxk all for us but outstanding for them - good luck if he goes from me.

Not really had a chance. We went from being desperate for a centre back, to having too many.
Typical City paying over the odds for him, but to be honest, I think he's a far better footballer than Laporte (who we also paid well over the odds for).

Ake isn’t even close to the level of Laporte, especially on the ball.
