Laporte is a very average player with a very questionable attitude, and poor decision making. An accident waiting to happen.
Ake is a proper footballer.
Laporte was a top class CB but after his injury has never looked the same, and he has always had a flakey attitude for a CB, he certainly can't take the physical side of the job.

But Ake is nothing more than a decent player, honest as the day is long but never anything more than a backup at a top club.

I think Ake would be a good signing for them, we forget that when he plays for us it's almost his first game of the season and he doesn't get the "pre season pass" others seem to get.
I thought he was a great player for Bournemouth and still think he is but city are world class.
No doubt should he go he will get back to the player he was, if not better after working with Pep.
Never heard a whisper of discontent from him and seems to get be a team player.
Don't be surprised if you see posts in the future saying he done fxxk all for us but outstanding for them - good luck if he goes from me.
With hindsight Wonder if Nathan would of signed had he knew we were gonna sign Dias a couple of months later

Not really had a chance. We went from being desperate for a centre back, to having too many.
Typical City paying over the odds for him, but to be honest, I think he's a far better footballer than Laporte (who we also paid well over the odds for).
You were doing well until the last 20 or so words.
