We were sat in a bar in Newcastle the other week after the match. Got talking to a few of them who picked up on the Manc accents. They were generally ok, but there was one aggressive, snarling prick telling us that inside two years they would be thrashing us again like they did under Keegan and we were an irrelevant club, unlike the mighty geordies. To that particular knob head, enjoy your evening.

Wonder how long Newcastle fans will give the new owners as in if they not making progress? I’d give it 3 years if they still midtable and won nowt.

Malcolm Allison's City dumped out of the cup by the mighty Shrewsbury Town 2- 0 in 1979. It still hurts.

Yes it was a shit result but despite that we had a cracking day. One of the best in my long years supporting City. Full story already covered in an earlier 'great days out with City' thread. You're right though, it still hurts.
Halifax & Doncaster (plus several others) were just shit.

They think it's all about money. In time they will realize that this is not true.
