Is it not Burnley's fault for putting in a release clause.

Granted they may of thought nobody would trigger it but ultimately Newcastle have and there's nothing they can do about it

All NUFC have done is offer to pay his release fee. There is no compulsion on him to leave but he obviously wants to go, which is his prerogative.
