Plenty on here are a bit sniffy about Howe. The measure of a manager of a club with limited resources is how they beat expectations as well as the type of football they play.Say what you like about Howe, but he has done a fantastic job at the Toon. First defeat in nine for them.
I still don’t think he is the man to take them to challenging for the top four and title, but he has plenty of experience at the bottom of the Premier League, which has proved invaluable this season
I think it was him thinking it’s gone a bit stale. Best move for both him and the club. Move on. Don’t think they sacked him.He was well liked at Bournemouth no idea why they sacked him.
Hold my hands up and say I had my doubts about Howe, but he has done well so far. I still don't think he's the man for the job if/when they start pushing for top 4/title spots, but maybe he will prove me wrong again.
He is doing good things so far. Getting the right players in, players that are willing to fight for the club and not just chasing a giant pay package.
I agree,,, when they start to find out that the big players they enquire about are put off by the manager not being a big enough name... he's toasti don't think the newcastle owners brought in Eddie Howe for the long term ? but will give him a chance next season
much like sparky at city the new owners did give him the chance. but soon found out that if you want to be mixing with the big teams then you need a manager players will respect and want to play for
