Could the ragpies have a decisive say in the title race? They've got the dips at home next weekend then we're hosting them in about 2 weeks.

They've hit a bit of form, looked dead n buried a few months ago so done well to secure their status. A home win against the dips would be very welcome. However next week we've a trip to dirty Leeds which is no cake walk. Dunno how they've played since letting the godfather of sitting on buckets go, but could be tricky.

Dips have the early game to spurs the week after, for once super Sunday lives up to its name as the Champions host the geordies. My Spidey sense says spuds will shit themselves at anfield, we've a trickier task. Hopefully the dips will start getting distracted by the FA Cup final by then.

For Newcastle Saint Maxima catches the eye, is chris wood still shit? Hopefully we get an early goal there'll be a similar carnival atmosphere to today to roar us on to the precious 3 points.

We can hope that Everton, Newcastle, spurs, Villarreal and Chelsea all hammer the dippers, but like the Catalan genius says, we only can do it ourselves!

Not a chance these get anything from the victims, they'll roll over and get their tummies tickled like they always do, then come out all guns blazing against us.
Disagree.
The geordies at home will
be going for it.
Tough game for the victims that.

A lot of people laughing at their transfer window aren't laughing anymore. Said they had a really good window and their best signing in tripper has been injured almost since he signed. Nobody could have expected the brilliant run they've put together though.

Fair play to Eddie Howe, he's given himself a shot at moulding a team to challenge higher than he's ever been at. when he came in, it screamed short term/preparing for a possible championship promotion charge but he's been fantastic and deserves the opportunity to spend some serious money this summer and see what he can do.

I'm not suggesting they'll be up there next season I think a wolves kind of season is what they can aim for but when you look at the table and the state of the teams below the top 2 maybe 3, there's nothing that you'd look at as a stumbling block. United are and will remain a mess, spurs are spurs and there's no chance in hell levy spends enough to keep conte on board. Arsenal are improving with a young squad but are still far too soft, squad depth is seriously lacking and I wouldn't fancy their chances of keeping players long term if others come knocking. Below that there's the likes of West ham and wolves who are in good shape but you can't imagine will be spending much and so will do well to stay still.

There's zero chance they get anything against the Dippers though, they aren't a defensively compact and solid team capable of withstanding the barrage Liverpool will hit them with, they will ship a hatfull, they'll pose a threat going forward but don't have enough to worry the dippers much about the result. Think they're probably more suited to giving us a harder game even though we're at home.

I think he’s a cracking manager, personally.

The likes of Howe and Potter should be getting jobs well ahead of the likes of Gerrard and Lampard.
I think people's judgement of Howe ha been clouded by the fact that he has always struggled against relegation.

IMHO, he performed minor miracles keeping Bournemouth in the Premier League for all those seasons, and now we are seeing that he actually could be a better manager than many thought.

His short lived tenure at Burnley might have coloured some people's opinion of him. You know the sort of thing, "awwwwwww, the poor wee lamb. Too cold for him that far oop North". Nonsense, obviously. If he was homesick and got the chance to return back home, I wouldn't blame him for jumping at the chance. Comes across as a sound fella, and has turned them around in this last couple of months.

I can see a kinship forming between City and Newcastle.

Perhaps they can get the ball rolling by getting a result against Liverpool
