If we had scored that goal and had it dissallowed this board would have been in meltdown, we got away with one, lets move on to the next game.

I knew something like the Nasri tackle was going to happen after the disallowed goal, regardless of it being rightly or wrongly chalked off it stopped being a football match at that point, the atmosphere turned nasty and Pardew and his players certainly didn't help with thier antics.

They wanted to "do" at least one of our players for the rest of the game, how Useless Mbast*rd wasn't already booked was farcical, and that tackle should be a six game ban as he's gone in knee high looking to hurt Nasri, the ball had gone, it was nothing less than thuggery from a player not even good enough to lick Nasri's boots.

As for Pardew he's got previous for being a nobhead so it doesn't surprise me, Newcastle fans also utterly classes in the main part, just another reason why I don't have "soft spots" for any other club, they all turn nobhead at some point, and yesterday they took their frustration with the officials out on our players and staff, no wonder clubs like these struggle to attract anyone with any class.

I was in their end (fortunately the posh bit) and it wasn't pretty; and I ill advisedly mock celebrated when the goal was overturned. Luckily I didn't get my head stoved in.

In fairness to the Geordies I thought they acted with fantastic grace afterwards - a guy in the train station came up and shook my hand, said well played and wished us well for the title. Three others did the same on the train.

We'll , the dust has settled a bit and my overall feelings now are that it was one of the worst refereeing performances ever - for both sides - by a ref who simply lost control and let events overtake him .
I hope his employers have the sense to do something about it ( doubtful , I know )
The other abiding memory is the levels of immaturity reached by some of their fans and their manager , who also plumbed new depths of un-professionalism , a trait for which he has plenty of form .
Just heard though - no FA charges for a serial offender ( surprise , surprise)

Living and working in the North East. What a 24 hrs I have had. No one accepting they played dirty even though I conceded that their attempt should have stood. The dislike of City added to the Ben Arfa incident with NDJ is beyond a joke. Ended up deliberately calling AlanPardew Alan Pullis. They have so little to play for this season apart from mid table mediocrity that these matches stay in the memory for them longer than us.

At least they didn't go and punch a horse this time.

was at the game and thought we deserved to win, not our best performance but 3 pts playing below par is good enough.
our passing wasnt at its usual fluent best but overall a important win, Joe and Vinny our best players.

You have to pity them really a club with no ambition but Prem survival, it's not that could not go on a good cup run, it's just their owner does not see any value in it
