Not the first time we've had a yellow for every second foul.

I know it's a bit 'out there' but has anyone considered that there might be some kind of agenda against us?

Great win! The moaners will be out in force over certain aspects of our performance, but it needs to be put into context. For some players that was their first appearance after 0 minutes of pre-season football. The squad is not fully fit, not sharp... yet we go to a rejuvenated Newcastle and win 2-0. Great stuff. Top of the league.

Seriously, nothing at all. Its the start of the season, we have some new faces, not everyone is up to speed, a few need to learn each others game (and will).

If Kompany/Mangala/Fernando is half as good as it is on paper we're going to be laughing.

Great game. Very similar to 2-0 win in January against them. None of our players had a bad game really, but Fernando, Dzeko and Kompany looked class today. Jovetic looked average because he is everywhere really, gets involved a lot so some things work and some don't.

There were situations where their midfield was running and suddenly Fernando got the ball back which we din't see a lot before this game :).

Think it was Martin Atkinson, didn't think he did too bad, all the bookings were legit IMHO.

Fernando looks just the job, Edin holding the ball up so much better than he ever has, great grind out win.

Sergio though is the man he just does for shit and giggles at times it seems.

I thought Newcastle played well. We simply had too much class for them. Dzeko, Fernando, Vinny and Clichy all played very well. It's going to be a powerful midfield once Fernando and Fernandinho get used to one another.

Overall a great start to the season.
