Actually I would agree 100% it is overly harsh to criticise him for his injury record at City. However, it's not when it follows a historical pattern Bellamy plays around 50%. I would also agree that if he stays fit for 4 years he might be useful, but I think there is alot more chance of us doing the double in that timeframe than Bellamy playing injury free.

Fair enough point, but he did have a full medical before he signed, so Hughes can only take a decision based on information given to him from the medical staff. This injury is nothing to do with any previous injuries, so it's just unfortunate. Either way, hopefully it's in the past.

Saying that, our medical staff don't have the best reputation. DVT Toure comes to mind...

I don't know how they are done, but this got me thinking, I assume that the madical is done by the team doctor and his medical staff? Aren't these the people that have just "moved on"

All this money and Lucas Neil....Has Hughes bumped his head?????

Terrible....I'm going for a lay down.....Please be just a smoke screen!!!!

Seriously I can't see it happening, Hughes will be seen as a small time Charlie by the whole world if this is all he can come up with. If we aren't up and running by Jan I can see this sort of signing coming back to bite him squarely on his arse, unless he has some other good options aswell heading to the coms.

Hughes is a small time Charlie.

oooh controversy. let's stir it up a bit. either the medical staff dropped the ball on the bellamy medical, kompany's fitness to play against arsenal, and so on, OR Hughes didn't take their advice and he scapegoated them when questions were asked at the end of the season.

honestly, who fcking knows?

signings like this just reinforce the doubters. hearing he won't sign aguero while atletico rate him at 50m even though he would contribute far more than ched, benjani, jo, vassell, bellamy and rsc and bojinov probably put together ! i know these are rumours but it does make you wonder why he would spend more on older ex blackburn players than he would on an amazing talent like kun.
oh well, in hughes we trust.

this makes me question everything i took as gospel .Who would believe it if you said de niro was a wum ,..................it is a wind up ,,, surely,.........tell me its an attempt to make us all laugh ,hahaha(hollow) please .What about morgan from shef utd to complete the set, ffs

not exactly a wind up but a statement of our ambition should we pursue the rumour that we are after this crock of shit.

If we were after Neil in the bleak days of Corradi and Dabo I wouldn't have been over the moon about it even then, but if we're trying to sign him now.....

Let's hope against the odds we manage to get Johnson, leave Neil to be snapped up by Bolton or someone like that.

I could only see this happening if Micah and or Zab go, then Johnson and this nob comes in. Even then....lets hope its just a rumour.

On the Bellamy scale of shit signings, he would rate a 10.

Bellamy wasn't a shit signing and nor would Neil be. I don't like either of them as people, but both are decent players and will do a job when called on. A good squad isn't built up of 22 superstars.
Bllamy is half decent - Neil is absolute shite - money or no money
