ireland for me! he is manchester city and i feel he will embrace the role and be an excellant leader both vocally and lead by example! never goes missing and i really feel making him captain would inspire him and make him even better!

I think it has to be kompany based on what we see (you never know what players are like in the dressing room etc). I think we need someone who not only leads by example, but also is vocal. Over the last few years there has been a trend for the "leaders by example" in general and at City, and i want to see someone take the players and game by the scruff of the neck in a "Tony Adams" sort of way. For me therefore Vinnie.
PS The only worry I have is the number of games he could niss due to suspension. he seems t have booked a lot.

the captain nowadays is largely just a talking point for the fans, like a badge .The management is right on the touchline and up in the stands to suss out opposition tactics and instruct the team accordingly. ireland is far too emotional ,i think language might be a problem for some ,which leaves VK . who is multilingual .He has shown he knows how to calm players down when needed which is probably the most important role for a captain .Dunney has been immense for city but i think being captain has distracted him at times from his own game.Like most gks Given bosses his area but has not much variation in his distribution . even when it obviously is not working.Ned is not cocky enough ,needs to assert himself more ,lose his rag a bit and then maybe--?
