Next Manager after Pep

But you're assuming his personal target is only to win the CL - then he's gone. He might have other unfulfilled targets for City before he thinks his time is up

am saying if he wins champions league with city this season then he's won everything possible with a premier league club. i think pep see's that as a great leaving point and job done for what the owners brought him in for.
leave at the top and nobody can question him leaving and he leaves with everybody's blessing.

also manchester city will need rebuilding and a new project would take another 3 years.
so again i think pep can leave if we win the champions league this season knowing city are at a very good place for somebody to come in and stamp his own setup on a team and would be given time to build a new team

but like i said i truly hope the manchester city board are already looking and talking life after pep because its close.
also i feel the players are now ready for the champions league and want to write the wrongs off last season and put it right for pep

You mean like Ole ??

Why should I mean a stupid thing like that? When did Ole have success? In Norway?

My point was that 3 years are a lot of time in football, things change, sometimes quickly. A year ago Tuchel wasn't highly regarded (by many), now he is.

Not sure if anyone's asked the question but would anybody here be opposed to be Pep taking a sabbatical with an interim manager coming in with the understanding Pep would be back after say a couple of years of good rest and golf. Am not sure what top manager would take that deal or the risks involved but in an ideal, hypothetical world would anyone be opposed? Just curious.
A your name suggets, the answer is uncertain and observer observation may have an impact. But if the name is from Breaking Bad you will not understand :-)

i don't think he care's what others think about him ? he just sets personal targets and can see when its time up
He doesn’t though he sees out his contracts and shortly before it’s up decides whether it’s time t for him personally to move on. There is nothing in his past to suggest as soon as he’s reached his personal targets somewhere he ups sticks and leaves them in the lurch, which leaving the day after a June C/L final would be doing.
We will know months if not a year before he is leaving and have that time to prepare.

I think he will do 10 years in total whether he wins the champions league or not. IF Haaland comes I’m sure he’s going to want reassurance about who is going to be in charge as well.

Too many noises lately that he’ll be off when his contract is up. Just enjoy the football we see now we may never see it again. I think he fancies another sabbatical and then maybe international management. We’ll get another top draw manager when he’s gone either way. I’m praying we convince him to stay longer. Maybe getting haaland could could help that but I think he’ll go

Exactly. Retaining the title, getting to the champs league final. Domestic dominance over the last decade, we're in a very strong position to secure the best. The problem, as the rags are finding is who is available.

There is absolutely no comparison between the management of the two clubs .

Finding somebody for City will have the proper research and due dilligence carried out rather than desperate grasping at straws as another " best thing since sliced bread " is chosen to lead the self-appointed " best club in the world ".

Every manager will want this job when Pep leaves. I guarantee you if pep was to leave now every manager in the prem , possibly in Europe as well would want this Job. Rodgers at Leicester has said he doesn’t want the United Job as he wants City. Do you think that the other managers don’t think the same. We have dominated English football since pep was here domestic treble,100 point etc.

We have money, a more than competent board compared to other clubs, amazing owners, a brilliant academy its a dream set up for any manager.
