Next Rail Strikes Announced.

Hereford to Chester - Cancelled
Birmingham to Liverpool - Cancelled
Liverpool to Preston - Strike next Saturday

Three days out ruined by an abysmal service. I’ve seen Scousers work harder than some of the strikers these days.

All Hereford to Chester trains are run by Transport for Wales, who aren’t in dispute. So that’s bullshit to start with.

No it isn’t. The train was cancelled and I got back late.

So they can provide awful service yet not go on strike?

They are on fantastic wages anyway and they should not be killing people's livlihoods of those using their services to get to work, or run their business.

Also, it's so evil and sly striking on days big events are on that are good for economies. I bet it will happen in Manchester next year when the Foo Fighters play.

You honestly think a union is going to organise a national rail strike to specifically target a fucking Foo Fighters concert in Manchester?

The strikers and the union leaders also seem to love the Z-List Celebrity status it's giving them.

So utterly sad and pathetic, and they don't care about us at all. I feel the worse for small business owners like coffee shops based in train stations, missing out on income from people who would normally use the trains and grab a coffee on the way to work.

They are not doing anything, just get of that picket line and go round the table and sort this childish arguing out for once.

It's making me realise that under Labour we won't be much better or worse than we are now. These unions are all Labour funded and their stories supported. We will have even more of them if they get in, while under Tory it will be even more austerity. For the first time ever since becoming a registered voter, I won't be voting for anyone as they are all the same.

I feel no celebrity status when striking. I get zero pay. How wonderful is that? I wish above anything else that the government will eventually allow talks to start. The unions are constantly asking for the opportunity but the Tories are just playing hardball and refusing to allow any talks.

What are we supposed to do? Just smile, carry on working and accepting these pay cuts, job losses and worse terms and conditions?

Like fuck.

Spot on. The strikers are largely selfish, entitled Luddites utterly unsympathetic to the plight of people far worse off than they are who are badly affected by these strikes.
