Have you ever considered that’s it’s maybe not totally random the number of disinterested people you seem to encounter on a daily basis?

I was gonna make a post last night about how it's very rare to get a rude member of staff on the railways. Either at the ticket desk or on the train.

I'm an infrequent traveller and not using the same routes as him but just couldn't think of an example.

In my experience railway staff are much better than other service level jobs. a Lovely woman split my tickets and saved me cash without me asking for it.

For the money T&C's and shit they've had to put up with, their professionalism and customer service is fantastic.
 
I can manage to get to the game on Saturday via York but last train home is 4.26 or something
Could leave at half time I suppose. : l
 
I can get to the match from Preston but trains are limited but the last train back of the day is about 5:30 and then thats it. Can see it being absolute carnage on that train and if missed then screwed.
