It will be a season of consolidation , Pep will take at least 2 transfer windows to get the players he needs , not expecting any trophies next season , although a top 4 finish , will be a minimum requirement , but i am very optimistic that when Pep gets his team/squad together , we will be a force in both domestic and european competition , a little patience will be required , but long term , we are in good hands.

Thats the opposite thinking to Pep in my opinion, Peps a winner, he'll get the squad he needs to compete by the start of the season.

Depends how we start....

If we hit the ground running we'll win the league and the domestic cups will be less important to the decision makers.

If we start slow expect a bug effort in the FA cup.

Crap start....League 3rd
FA Cup winners
LC at least semis
CL last eight
Europa at least semis

Good start....league winners
FA Cup maybe last eight
LC play kids last eight/semis
CL last eight
Europa winners.

I also expect us to be able to keep the ball from a throw-in, we may as well have just let the other team take them this season.

The youngsters will replace the deadwood in the squad. Angelino-Kolorov, Denayer-Demi, Brahim/Roberts-Navas. Hopefully a few others Bryne or Davenport too. Im not sold on Garcia yet.

With 5/6 quality signings added to the existing players like Aguero, KDB, Sterling, Dinhio, Hart, Otamendi & Silva we will win the league with Pep.

Fancy us to get to the semis at least again in whatever European competition we land in.
Sorry Alex but Roberts will not be available as his loan was for 18 months. Cannot believe that we agreed to that length and he has been a big hit with Celtic.

Just hoping for a top 4 spot, but most importantly, a return of entertaining football with a team that looks organised and believes in what it is doing!

Can hardly remember a game this season that I've enjoyed watching at the Etihad.

Despite being a season ticket holder for 11 years, I've deliberately missed about 4 home league games this season, because I just couldn't be bothered leaving my nice warm home, to go and watch passionless, disorganised football under Pellegrini, on a cold and windy day at the Etihad.

Pellegrini's management has taken away all the passion and excitement I use to get from watching City.

I really want Pep to bring back that exciting feeling and high expectations before going to a game again.

Next seasons going to be a season of transition. If we get the right players in and they gel quickly over pre season we'll challenge for the league and maybe win a trophy or two but I won't be too disheartened if it took a while for the new team to start playing with that Guardiola flair

What I don't understand about this, is that we're the league's top scorers again. How is it possible that we all feel as though the football hasn't been entertaining (unless you support our rivals) ?

Do you honestly feel this season has been good compared to say 11/12 or 13/14 re entertainment and excitement? Apart from the first 5 games, I can't think of any game that I've truly enjoyed watching (relieved that we won the games yes, but not actually enjoyed watching them).

No, I don't feel that this season has been good in comparison to other seasons. We've scored more goals than every other team in the PL yet it still doesn't appear to have been "entertaining". That's the paradox I can't get my head around.

As far as I can rationalise it, I think there has been a shift in thinking that the PL can be won by pragmatism rather than attacking football hence Leicester's success. Trouble is, if every team plays like that (and we are the biggest suckers for falling into the counter-attacking trap), the league will die a death.

Yes I agree with your comment, this is why I was emphasizing the "entertainment" angle so much, it is after all why we pay to watch our team play, for entertainment and excitement of the game itself, not just the results.

This I hope, is what Pep will bring back to our team next season.

A very difficult start, massive media pressure on Pep, then a steady improvement and by the Jan/Feb really flying.

I would be happy with top 4 and a good FA Cup Run, if we fail to qualify forthe UCL, I hope he uses the Europa to bring on the kids.

Absolutely. He's not coming here to show himself to be no better than Mancini or Pellegrini, is he.
Nope, he will get the tools, and those that don't come because of no CL for a season, if that happens will rue the day.
I hope next season sees city as a whole step up, become a tough proposition on and off the pitch. Fed up of bring ridiculed!
