I think that might be a small possibility too. But only small. He has looked a frustrated man quite a bit recently. We must hope Pep can persuade him otherwise but he is too good a player not to be gracing the CL really.

If that does happen it will kill dead any Pellegrini legacy. He will be remembered for just one thing - the man who lost us Aguero.

So for his sake let us hope not.

If we are out of the CL next season there can be only one priority for Pep.

WIN THE LEAGUE.

This gets us pot 1 in the CL the season after as we will struggle coefficient wise and draw wise if we do not.

So even those who cannot see beyond CL in our clubs future have to see this as our best way around not being in it next season if it comes to that.
 
I think we showed yesterday that we're still a very good team on our day. We just need to bring in a few fresh faces and give them a game plan and the motivation to succeed. I'm sure Guardiola will do that.

So PL champions and anything else is a bonus.

Totally agree mate. It's not like all our players have become shit overnight, they are just being hideously mismanaged. Pep doesn't turn talentless footballers into superstars, he takes already talented footballers - which we have got - and drills them into an effective way of playing that highlights their talents.

If I had to summarise Guardiolas teams in two words they would be "pressing" and "space". The pressing and hunting in packs to get the ball back as soon as possible, we all know about. (And actually we do that pretty well when we want to, like yesterday for example).

But the other aspect is movement. Players look great on the ball when they are receiving it in space. We've been so static of late and that's why we've been struggling to retain possession and certain players look so technically limited. Not everyone is a Silva or Nasri.

Pep will have us swarming all around the pitch, with fast passing and movement, receiving the ball in space and cutting through defences like butter.

PL Champions. Maybe we could pull off the FA Cup again!

Either way, I expect a team with every man playing for the other. Then the trophies will come, considering the talent of the squad.
 
I just want to challenging for the league with at least a couple of months to go, this is not going to be straightforward as most think

We are not far off the same price to win next seasons title than we were for this year's, abt 2/1 currently. Fill your boots if you think we will win it.
