It will be a season of consolidation , Pep will take at least 2 transfer windows to get the players he needs , not expecting any trophies next season , although a top 4 finish , will be a minimum requirement , but i am very optimistic that when Pep gets his team/squad together , we will be a force in both domestic and european competition , a little patience will be required , but long term , we are in good hands.
Thats the opposite thinking to Pep in my opinion, Peps a winner, he'll get the squad he needs to compete by the start of the season.
Sorry Alex but Roberts will not be available as his loan was for 18 months. Cannot believe that we agreed to that length and he has been a big hit with Celtic. The youngsters will replace the deadwood in the squad. Angelino-Kolorov, Denayer-Demi, Brahim/Roberts-Navas. Hopefully a few others Bryne or Davenport too. Im not sold on Garcia yet.
With 5/6 quality signings added to the existing players like Aguero, KDB, Sterling, Dinhio, Hart, Otamendi & Silva we will win the league with Pep.
Fancy us to get to the semis at least again in whatever European competition we land in.
Just hoping for a top 4 spot, but most importantly, a return of entertaining football with a team that looks organised and believes in what it is doing!
Can hardly remember a game this season that I've enjoyed watching at the Etihad.
Pellegrini's management has taken away all the passion and excitement I use to get from watching City.
I really want Pep to bring back that exciting feeling and high expectations before going to a game again.
What I don't understand about this, is that we're the league's top scorers again. How is it possible that we all feel as though the football hasn't been entertaining (unless you support our rivals) ?
Do you honestly feel this season has been good compared to say 11/12 or 13/14 re entertainment and excitement? Apart from the first 5 games, I can't think of any game that I've truly enjoyed watching (relieved that we won the games yes, but not actually enjoyed watching them).
No, I don't feel that this season has been good in comparison to other seasons. We've scored more goals than every other team in the PL yet it still doesn't appear to have been "entertaining". That's the paradox I can't get my head around.
As far as I can rationalise it, I think there has been a shift in thinking that the PL can be won by pragmatism rather than attacking football hence Leicester's success. Trouble is, if every team plays like that (and we are the biggest suckers for falling into the counter-attacking trap), the league will die a death.
Agree 100% with this. The aim will be champions as a minimum.Thats the opposite thinking to Pep in my opinion, Peps a winner, he'll get the squad he needs to compete by the start of the season.
Absolutely. He's not coming here to show himself to be no better than Mancini or Pellegrini, is he.Agree 100% with this. The aim will be champions as a minimum.
Nope, he will get the tools, and those that don't come because of no CL for a season, if that happens will rue the day.Absolutely. He's not coming here to show himself to be no better than Mancini or Pellegrini, is he.
