First five games:
West Bromwich Albion (H)
Chelsea (A)
Southampton (H)
Everton (H)
Aston Villa (A)

Boxing Day: Norwich City (A) have a bit of a job with this one
New Years' Day: Queens Park Rangers (H)

Last five games:
Liverpool (H)
Burnley (A)
Norwich City (H) and this one
Newcastle United (H)
Tottenham Hotspur (A)

I'd rather get some of the tougher games out the way first. That way your either sitting pretty at the top with them out the way or the chance of repairing the damage with a long run of "easier" games.

Rags away in week one,
Rags home in week two.
Repeat a further 18 times.
They might beat us a few times, but they'll still go down ;)

Couldn't be better than last year. Home first and last game, plus home Boxing Day and away New Year's Day. For me that's the best combination of fixtures you can get!

Woops.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but I think champions are always guaranteed a home start to the season.

The only reason United played at Swansea last season was at their own request to allow some more time for pitch maintenance at the swamp.

I'm not sure if it's automtatic with a home start that you are home last - or if that's just how it's worked for us recently has been coincidence.

As far as my preferences are concerned I share the view it's better to get some awkward fixtures out of the way first...all be it we won the league I hated having a run in with so many difficult fixtures in the second half of the season I.e. Everton, Spurs, Liverpool, Rags, Arsenal all away from home.

I hope for a home game last.

We are going to be away for the first two games due to the building works so could be a tricky start with players still on holiday if involved in the later stages of the World Cup
